If you like an Imperial Stout, try Night Tripper! https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/335/40671/

It's black as old motor oil and almost 11% abv. It's goooodd!

Ok, this for this evening. It's oatmeal stout. It's ok, I wouldn't turn one down being given to me. But I would rather have another of the Boulevard Imperial Stout though.

That Night Tripper sure sounds good though! Couldn't find it in my regular liquor store. I have a quest now!

Ok, second verse.......this is what I have started with(I told you I liked it).

Next comes a new vodka for me.
It's a fine liquor made in the midwest, if i'm to believe the little note cards at the liquor store. I was made in the midwest some 55 years ago and I'm great, so I have hopes for this vodka.

I can't tell you how it is yet, I put it in the freezer as soon as I got home. Got to make it thick, then i'll do a shot and report on it.

Ok, got the vodka nice and syrupy. It's a very nice vodka!

Pleasantly smooth with a nice grainy taste to it. It has a small after bite to it. Not bad at all considering $16 per bottle.

Spending the week in the OBX and trying to sample some local brews. Picked up a sixer of this and have it in the fridge here at the rental...its not bad, a little hoppy for my taste. Also built a 6 pack of some local brews and gonna just take those home.

Here are said brews:

I just got home a bit ago from OBX (le sad) and just stuck the beers in the fridge to chill so I haven't actually sampled any of them yet except for the Duck-Rabbit Amber Ale. I actually tried that at a wine & beer tasting going on down at a local wine/cigar/beer shop that was near our rental house. It was okay; apparently the brewery is in 9 states along the east coast. They were the only brewery present for the beer tasting...the shop was sampling several wines though, which my girlfriend, her sister, and their mom tried out.

Here are a few enjoyed while on our trip to Montana and Wyoming in June. Brought home a variety pack from Grand Teton Brewing. They were all excellent.

Last week was the first time I've seen any in person...talk about sticker shock. I thought the larger coolers were bad enough, but then I saw a soft-sided cooler bag that wasn't much bigger than a typical lunch-size cooler bag...it was marked at $279.99!!!
