"All Days Off", a Mexican lager brewed by Key Brewing outside of Baltimore. Its decent, a little bitter for a Mexican lager. I was thinking it'd be more like Dos Equis or the like.

10.5!? Big beer, how was it?

It was very smooth and easy drinking for a 10.5. Real good!

So, two new beers to me.

First one is made by the Dead Armadillo Brewery (local company). It’s called Candemic Stout in honor of the chinese virus.

8.0 beer, it’s a stout. Nothing to make me rush out for more. I’ll keep one of the cans for posterity though.....

Bellhaven’s Scottish Ale is the next beer up for bids. The liquor store was out of my usual Dirty Bastard (I love this beer, but, flavor wise, I’m not sure how it got classified as a scottish ale). This was recommended as a replacement.

At 5.2abv, this is kind of a session beer for me. That said, I really like it. It has a nuttiness to it that kills the off bite i get from Dirty Bastard. But, it’s 5.2 compared to 8.5 and the six pack was $14.

I‘ll end up buying it again though, I like the taste.

I really like Belhaven Scottish Ale! They've really changed the label, though, and it came in a plaid box. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any out my way for over a year, not sure what happened?

I'm a big fan of Clown Shoes. I had this over the weekend.

Not the best pic. This was taken after consumption so maybe that had something to do with it.

I haven't had a plain ol' Sam Adams Boston Lager in a while, so I picked some up today. Still pretty good.

Oddly for me, I've never been that crazy about the Boston Lager but I do like so many of their other offerings. Cherry Wheat, most of the seasonals, etc. I actually picked up some Summer Ale over the weekend.

Nothing odd about that. Opinions vary, that's why we have choices.

Here’s another IPA that I would recommend. A little more on the hoppy side than the citrus - but I like that!

We've been down in the Outer Banks again this week, great weather mostly. I picked up a 12 pack of Yuengling Golden Pilsner for the evenings, and also picked up some Twisted Teas and Bud Light Seltzers for the beach.

Say what you will about the non-beer selections, but they've been quite refreshing in the warmer weather while relaxing on the beach!

Oh, and I got engaged.

This was the aftermath of the beer share!

It was a blast and we had a lot of really good beers to try! Everyone was terrified to try the Beard Beer, and then amazed by how good it was.

Obtained a Flying Dog sampler 12-pack over the weekend as well as a Sam Adams Summer Sampler 12-pack.

The Flying Dog has some of the Blood Line (a blood orange IPA), Raging Bitch, The Truth and one other that I can't remember right now. I've only tried the Blood Line and Raging Bitch so far out of this pack...I've had The Truth before. They're all IPAs - which isn't my favorite style but what I've had isn't too bad.

The Sam Adams sampler has the Boston Lager of course, Sams '76 Lager, Summer Ale, and Porch Rocker. I never tried the Sam's '76 before and just had one last night, but only thought it was "OK." I also had the Porch Rocker...I tried that a couple years ago and wasn't crazy about it then, and still feel the same way now. I do like the Summer Ale but haven't cracked into any from this pack yet, and of course have had that Boston Lager too.

Happiness is looking deep in to the glass, and finding one more sip of bourbon still there.

Had a friend over last night that I hadn't seen in a couple years. Had a nice little beer tasting. The imperial reserves in the middle. They are the same but one is from 2015 and the other 2018. Both were great but you could tell a difference. We agreed that the 2015 was better.
