Beginners Question on Brake Pads

Yep, seems to me that stang calipers have an inspection area on the edge of the caliper.
Or just look down from above the rotor (or up, from below) to see the amount of pad.

I would note that pads often dont wear even, so getting access to the entire pad (both) can be best. Sometimes they wear one part down first.

Good luck.

My apologies, I totally read your post wrong. Im a jerk :bang: :bang:

Anyway, pull both of your wheels off and check both sides. Like others said there is an opening on the top of the caliper to inspect the pads through. Make sure you look at the thickness of BOTH pads. Like Hissin said they usually do not wear even. Also do this on both sides, it is not necassary to have both wheels off at the same time.

one thing that never fails is when rotating your tires, always take a glimpse at them, that'll make sure you're on top of everything speciall when you have drum brake still, make sure the shoes and wheel cylinders are ok.. sorry got carries away.. :D
