Belt tensioner w/ vortech blower

Will the serpentine belt tool work or will it hit the bracket? I need to release tension so i can take it off the alt pulley. I am swapping alternators. What worked for you with the vortech blower bracket? I know you need a 3/8" ratchet to fit in there. The serpentine tool looks long and skinny and will work.
