what would cause a push rod to bend? i was doing 80 on the highway and yea

what brand push rod is good comp cams???
and do the valve need to be adj with a filler gauge or how do you know how many shims you need ?? thx

A pushrod will usually only bend if the valve hits a piston. When was the last time a timing chain was put in?

timing chain is not that old like a year

a push rod will bend if you have push rod guide plates and are not running hardend push rods. All of the after market heads Ive seen come with the guide plates. So there is a possibility this is your problem. when you replace them make sure the ones you are buying are hardend. Chris
