Best aluminum rad for my money?

I'm looking to get an aluminum rad to replace the old stocker, thats doing ok but not great. I'm leaning towards the griffin ones as they have a 400hp mark for the same price as be cools 300hp marked ones. Is the griffin one the one I should go with or is there a cheaper alternative with a 400hp rating?

I bought a nothern and got a custom bracket built by Vintage Mustangs here in California. The whole install came out pretty neat... Also got the radiator from them also. Here is a picture of the install of this type of radiator.

If/when I ever decide to go aluminum, I'd look at the Griffins from streetortrack.com. They have figured out a (FREE!) way to change the mounting bracket angle on 65/66 radiators to give 3/4" - 1/2" more clearance - a great plus with an electric fan.

Besides, Shaun & Bill are true Mustang enthusiasts who spend a lot of time on several different internet boards. Great folks to deal with!

I'd look at Summit. Like 170-180 for a universal.

After owning more than a dozen Mustangs and Resto-modding some and Pro-Touring others, my experience with radiators has been the following:
For OEM fit and superior cooling, Fluidyne. Why? They are all alum and have 3 1" tubes and not 2 1" tubes like the rest. They sell for about $360 at Summit Racing.

If you don't mind trimming the radiator core support, Ron Davis radiators are second to none. He is the same guy that does the radiators for NASCAR race cars. He sells both oem fit and the one I just ordered which needs the trimming done to the rad support. They are pricey but worth it($860 manual trans, add $100 auto) Here is the link and a pic:

Look at the fit against the rad support and the finish, very nice.

$179 afco for a SBC...price included shipping. Just needed to use a different upper radiator hose
