I had that issue with my mm cable as well.. I called them thinking I ordered a cable for a newer car but they told me they were the same and to just use it without the bracket. So I did and never did have a problem function wise but it was a little more noticeable inside the engine bay

I bought it through American Muscle. I couldn't make it work.

Noob question: How do you know if your clutch cable is worn out or needs replaced? New to Foxes, my other car with a stick is a ‘17 VW Golf with a hydraulic clutch. My car is stock, original and at 70k miles.

When I replace it, is there any advantage to an adjustable cable?

It will bind to the point of being very difficult to push (engage/disengage) or will break. Although it's rare that a cable break unless you're abusing your car.

I'd you're concerned just swap it out. It's a very straight process.

Thanks. I've been wondering about replacing just due to age and have watched LMR's video on doing it. Doesn't seem awful except for having to wedge my fat self under the dash of the car.

Sometimes puling the seat makes life easier.
The first cable I broke was making the pedal slow for a while before it snapped.

Yeah, next time I have to go under the dash, the seat is coming out!

The only one I ever had to send back was the Maximum Motorsports. It was about a foot too long. No idea what was going on there, but it definitely wasn't going to fit.

I've read that posted a number of times. I thought it was because it was an SN95 cable, but i take it you were putting it on your Sn car and it was still longer?

Yes, going in my SN car. I have the picture stored somewhere with the cables side by side. Once you see the difference, you know there is just no way it's going to fit. The MM cable was at least a foot longer. In retrospect I should have had called MM first and asked what was going on.

I’m considering using the ram cable. I noticed it’s USA made, and my ford racing one is starting to stretch.
