So I just got my '90 5.0 running and it is running pig rich. Went through a full tank in just 80 miles never even flooring it. It has a 310" 1970 block with 10.5:1 comp forged bottom end,gt40y heads, cobra intake,Stealth fuel pump, 24lb injectors, C&L for 24's, shorty headers. It's a Mikes Transmission Ultimate AOD and 4.10's. It also has a old NOS big shot plate between the upper and lower but I want to get it running right before I use the nitrous. I still have the stock fuel pressure regulator and with the vacuum line removed its at 45psi. That sounds pretty high to me. What do you think?

I would back it down to 38-40psi. That's where I have mine set at with 24lb injectors, 190 in-tank pump, and a in-line pump that came with my NOS kit. I have never had any problems and my gas mileage isn't that bad, on the highway anyway.

Cool thank you. I'm waiting on a whole slew of Parts to arrive for it so I can't even start it up to adjust my fuel pressure. Thanks again

Double check to make sure the vent to your tank isn't some how plugged. They get dirt and junk in them over the years and when they plug up, it will pressurize your gas tank and spike your fuel pressure causing all sorts of headaches.

I am wondering if my cam maybe causing problems for the fuel regulator, I know the overlap makes the brakes randomly not work due to not enough vacuum.
