best heads/intake combo?

the thread starter was asking about the best heads/intake out there. i told him about this one, because it is the best i have seen.

if i were doubting it, i'd call bs. did i call bs on this or any other thread? no. but if you have been on this or any other mustang enthusiasts sites for any period of time, you would have to agree that a combo that gets numbers like that with a stock cam is not the norm. my hat is off to 94opalgt.

greenstang: just how big do you want the numbers to be, and do you want to stay naturally aspirated?

ya, I definatly want to stay n/a, and I'd be happy with 300rwhp, but if I could hit 315 or 320 rwhp I'd be really happy.

Someone said I would lose driveability if I had something like 350rwhp, howsow?

You would need a very agressive cam that would push your RPM band up, past 6500. This would result in a very poor idle-1500RPM (or above). It would buck, it would shudder, it would hesitate...and then it would destroy your transmission at WOT :D

I do believe, however...that a top notch tune could mitigate most of these factors. But this would be hours upon hours with a tweecer or PMS or equiv. Probably more than one dyno tunes to get it nailed in, also.

If you have the money (and time) to tune it...shoot for the stars. If you just want a reliable, and easy DD...then go for a tried and true H/C/I that will put you around 300rwhp
