Best Intake for stock cam and heads

Whats the best intake for a 1993 5.0 with stock heads and a stock cam? Will it make more power then a ported t-moss?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,P.S. Im getting some Thumper Heads in about a year.

A Cobra, TFS Street, or Edelbrock Performer most likely. A TMOSS ported lower probably wont give up very much to the others, at least on a stock engine.

I would use a cobra manifold rather then a TFS, that would hurt ur low end too much ! the Cobra will a bit, but not as much as the others listed.. I just sold my stock one for 300, I have a 65mm throttle body if ur interested along with a extrude honed, but thats way too much for a stock car.. BUt if u think ur going to stroke out ur motor or bolt on a blower right after, I would get the extrude honed one ! IMO

tf street b/c it gives u a little more leway when you get heads and cam. im going to go with eldelbrock performer though

Stock engine.... 1 year from heads..... Keep the intake small ports for good velocity and crisp throttle responce !! Ported TMOSS. Drive around and kick some ass. Then when up grading the heads... look at the cam, and then the intake!! TMOSS has such a good rep for power, they should be easy to sell IF you feel the need to upgrade!! Take it slow like you are.. IF an used E cam comes along.. get that also for the stock heads !! now your rocking... and you'll only go up from there!! Cool??

I would say Cobra, even though they claim the stock intake is the best for a stock set up. The Cobra will probably flow similar to the Tmoss, and even though it will cost more, in a year it will flow plenty for the heads, and can still be ported to make even better gains. I have heard nothing but priase from the Tmoss intake, and it is very cheap, so that might be the best way to go, but me personally, I would get a used Cobra (what I did) and have room to make that better!

Personaly I like my Edlebrock Performer. Good intake for the power and price!

I can tell you how. Put the mouse cursor right at the first "h" in http of my web site in the signature and click the left mouse button and hold it down. Then drag the cursor over the rest of the line with the web address so that it is highlighted and when it's all covered, release the mouse button. The highlight should still cover the web site address - but ONLY the web site address. Now push down and hold the "ctrl" key and push the "c" key which copies the address. Now click the mouse cursor in the web address bar at the top of your browser. Push the "ctrl" key down and hold it down again and push the "v" key to paste the web site address on the browser bar. Now click the "go" key and you should get taken right to the site.

GMstomper - it's $100 labor plus shipping to me and back - typically right about $130 total with all shipping. For West Coast or Southern FL it might get to $140 total.
