There are alot of mods out there that are at or under the three hundred dollar mark. You can get a Diablo tuner, C&L Plenum with 75mm TB, Pullys, Cold air Intakes and thats were it drops off. All of these are easy to do and dont require labor. So what is the best HP mod for three hundred dollars?

Handheld engine programmer. You can increase peformance, learn more about how your car works, datalog, and perform diagnostic analysis.

Will I feel the difference with a Diablo tuner? And if I run unlead 100 octain with there be more power then 93? I figure at 100 you could raise the timing more and lean the engine out for more power.

Gears ...If you can do the labor yourself

I think all those mods you listed will probably only get you about 5hp individually...If you plan on getting a vortech or something, get the Plenum/TB instead of pulleys or intake...

It will be so much better for daily driving, you'll wonder how you lived without it. Hell, I have the MGW shifter, but only went to the tracks twice since the install (last last Christmas).

Find a buddy with a short throw shifter inside, and feel the difference. Finding 5th might be a hassle for some, but I'm equipt with gorilla arms and reaching over isn't a problem for me.

My firend has a Pro 5.0 shifter and I dont care for it, I just want a little more power for passing people and stuff, I never use 5th gear and 4 is like my overdrive and I catch my self in 3rd alot doing 45 mph. I will get a shifter when I get gears.

Till then how do I pully a few more ponys out or my car?

It wont give you the SOTP feeling like gears will. Save a bit more and go for gears.

Gears are a def, my problem is gears require a speedcal or something like it, thats why the diablo tuner sound good. I dont want to buy a speed cal then get a tuner.

Save another $100, and buy yourself an xcal2/predator, then buy your gears.

Kinda contradictory to me. If you dont race then there is no need for more HP. The mustang has more than enough passing power stock.

MGW shifter (under $200). Just do it, you'll thank me later.

Why the HELL do want to mod your car then? lol...a new shifter will do you some good at the track.

Also, where are you guys finding these cheap as5 tuners? Last time I checked xcal2's were more than $300. Why get a Diablo when you can get the best?

A shifter is your best mod if you do OR dont race. It will greatly compliment some rear end gears if you DO race..and will greatly enhance daily driving if you DONT race.

Seriously, get an MGW, accept no substitute, and you will be loving your car more.

The problem is $300 isn't alot to work with for hp. Save for some cams, long tubes, or a handheld programmer. But don't expect much SOTP from anything else.
Gears and shifter make driving more fun and I do recommend those.
If $300 is absolutely all you can work with then try steeda pullies. You could get a super cheap plenum/TB but #1 don't go super cheap and #2 not much SOTP there, but it adds up as you mod.
Good luck with your decision.
