Evening fellas, I have a 66 ford fairlane that has a little rod knock when I start it after it sitting for a day or two. After about 5 seconds and the engine has the chance of getting the fluids moving the knock goes away. Just wondering what the best oil weight/brand, to put in there? Was thinking about trying some of that oil with the startup protection.

Thanks in advance. :nice:

I use 15w-40 when I can find it. Something you could invest in is an oil accumulator. It is a reservoir that fills up when you have oil pressure and empties when oil pressure drops below a certain point. You can also set them to pressurize your engine before startup. Road racers sometimes use them for insurance incase hard cornering makes them momentarily lose oil pressure.
