best place to buy sct xcal2?

I'm planning on picking up an SCT Xcal2 real soon after hearing so many good things about it. My question is, what are some good places to buy one from? I know most places sell them for around $400, so is that the best I could get one for new? Also are there any places that sell them with custom tunes already on there?

The best place is probably a dyno shop that tunes using SCT nearby to you. The next best thing is mail order from an SCT Tuner shop. You can talk to Sean at www.Speedydyno.com and tell him Kevin sent ya there. He'll hook you up and customer service is excellent with him.

Cool. So I checked it out as well as Modular Depot and both have the same prices and say that two custom programs are included. So is it a matter of telling them whatever mods you currently have and they'll include a tune for it for no extra charge? Considering my lack of mods I just wanna get rid of my Speedcal, my mils, and hope to gain a little hp as well.

Don't leave out Modular Power House (MPH). These guys know what there doing. Thats who I would use.

i got it from Mustang Tuning.with 10% discount.The order will be placed next week.Am i making a good choice???they will give me 2 tunes and after that i will just Contact SCT for any tune adjustments via E-mail

you will never get the tune you want just by buying a unit mail order, your best bet is to find a SCT dealer close to you in your area and have them custom tune the car...it is much better, safer, and you will be much happier with the tune. I dont even do mail order tunes for that reason, you really need to have the car in front of you and datalog the car and its data...every car is different. Kevin @ Wicked Motorsports

bought my xcal from modulardepot, bought my xcal2 from horsepower by hermann, both have given me great service and excellent tunes so id recommend either.
