I know this is the 5.0 section but there is no big block section and its in a car that was a 5.0 so I figured this was the best spot to post.
My friend has a 460 stang that I won in a game of pool. I didnt take it from him but I drive it all the time. The thing runs at 220 all the time if you beat on it at all it blows radiator hoses apart. It has the biggest water pump you can get, low thermostat and a 3core radiator (it was laying around so we put it in)
Whats the best radiator for this thing and is there anything else I can do to cool it down?

Dont see why that would not cool the car. Possible head gasket leak. It should not blow the hoses apart. Is the rad clogged? Is the block all clogged up?

Radiator is brand new, block has new copper head gaskets and the motor is pretty fresh.

You didnt mention what kind of fan/fans you were using.
Im using a Fluidyne rad, Mez electric pump. and dual 12" Spal fans and it keeps my 557 cool. It will run about 210 or 220 only after a full throttle pass. It only stays there for a few seconds b4 settling back down to 190-195.
You must have airflow and lots of it to cool it.
