honestly man i would get a 255/50 drag radial or something an put it on the waffles, and save that money.. You can sell two of the waffle wheels without a problem, to someone looking to do the same.. IMO

There is a down side to using oem or bling type wheels for drag applications

Most of the time ... they are very heavy :fuss:

what are the gains from the eibach launch kit without lowering it? will i gain anything by adding just a air bag to my stock springs in the rear passenger side?

like grady said i'd rather run a lighter wheel. it would be easier for me to find a drag radial for a 15" rim. i see them for sale all the time locally. plus i wouldnt be able to run anything larger then a 245

what would be sexier then a set of drag lites on the rear with some fat tires and stock bullits up front eh?

that is what the question was... I was wondering whether or not it would drop times. has anyone actually measured a difference in times etc..

That's gonna depend on the wheels which are being compared. I would do a search on the Drag Racing threads, Stangnet and Corral. You'll see a variety of different numbers posted. IMO, you can count on a tenth or two improvement in ET for significantly lighter wheels. Like going from an 18" to 15" Weld Drag wheel for instance. Only thing for sure is heavy wheels WILL slow you down a bit.

I'm late to the party... all I can add is as far as tires go I've had GoodYear Eagle F1's on two lightnings and a 2000 Vette, F1 GS' on my current daily driver. Don't ask me why I went with Yokohama AVS 100's on the Stang. With mild bolt ons and a stock 3:08 gear she barely hooks. Having MM LCR's installed currently and hope they help... If not I am going back to the GdYr's.

RC the build quality looks good, but then you have the argument that the joints are urethane or that they are solid etc. I personally would run a set like that, but as far as everything that i have read they will just be noisy

This is what the auction says.

The polyurethane bushings are designed to be bolted to the car chassis for a quiet comfortable operation.

i think the mach 1 springs have pretty much the same spring rate as the drag springs.....

quickstang94... do you happen to have a good pic of the ride height of your car with those springs...
?

My suspension setup:

Front- Stock K member, Eibach Drag springs, Lakewood 70/30 struts, no sway bar.

Rear- UPR Pro series upper and lower control arms, Eibach Drag springs w/ air bag in pass. side, Lakewood 50/50, UPR Torque Box re-enforcements, Spherical Differential bushings, no sway bar.

I have a best N/A 60' of 1.56 on drag radials. So track this setup works great. On the street it is tame enough to drive daily but not firm enough for now high speed cornering.
I too have a 1.560 60' best (8th time ever to run this car down the track) on a totally stock '94 suspension. But, I spent the day debating it on Corral. You're welcome to take a look at a link to the post.
Good luck!
