was wanting to get a tune for my car and was wanting to know best place to get one. thought about bamachips or vmp. what do yall recommend?

I would have recommended Bamachips but his business is suffering. You can't go wrong with Brensspeed, tillmanspeed, VMP, Brooksspeed, or BBR to name a few. In all honesty with everything being equal all tunes will give you similar hp/tq numbers, it's just how the tune is adjusted.

Or you can find a really good mustang shop in TX and get it dyno tuned which will be the best, but like above the emailers are mostly the same. Take your pick...

I know they are one of the best but don't they charge $150-200 for an email tune?

BC after 37 days didn't send me the X3 I ordered and I had to dispute it with Visa. Ordered it from Brenspeed and had it at my front door within 2 weeks. Very happy with Brenpeed's customer service and performance. Way faster than the FRPP tuner I got last year.

What's wrong with business right now? So far I have always heard that Bamachips is great

There are a few threads in this fourm and other forums about his situation. He is going through marriage problems. He has had difficult time catching up on orders as he is basically a one man show. He has stopped selling parts and is only doing tunes.

I have a feeling that he owes his suppliers money and they may have cut him off. All you die hard BC fans, keep buying email tunes from him so he can get financially caught up(lol).

I debated which tuner to order my sct from for weeks. After much reading I went with brenspeed. Their customer service was awesome. Tuner showed up in less than two weeks. Installed the jlt cai and tune with no issues. Was spinning the tires hard into second and third with my auto trans shortly thereafter!!!! Hell yeah! Order up dude.
