Im going to try to make my queckest pass yet in my vert. Im running the new M/T et street radials. I've been running about 15lbs and a second gear burnout leaving around 3400rpm. What is the best way to do my burnout. Sometimes I feel they do just as good with a small burnout or no burnout at all.
What do you guys think.

i made a pass w/ no burnout and they spun like mad launching off idle....but that was the first time ever w/ no burnout, so they might have been glazed or whatever.

anyway....15 lbs seems low, try 20 lbs.

and launch at 3500...if it hooks try 4000

I did a mild burn out, left at idle and flashed the converter. Thats the way my car hooked the best. With about 15#'s of air, the best 60' I got, was a 1.62 on the 275/40/17's.

That is some driving! That would be a respectable 60ft on a slick with decent drag suspension!

nice Myke86GT, thats a kick ass 60' time for 17" drag radials. That must have yielded a rather quick 1/4 mile pass :)

Yea that surprised the heck out me too when I got that 60'. The car ran an 11.19 @ 120.81

But it will be a while before I get to try again. I sold the car as a rolling chasis about 2 months ago, to venture in my new project. An 84 T-top coupe.. Can see pics of it in my sig..But here a few track pics of the day with the Mickey's.. That is my buddy in the blue coupe and we grudged all day. He runs 11.8x's on motor...
