I'd prefer with cats so I don't have to swap it out for a few hours once a year, but they cost a lot more.

What's best for cheap?

UPR?
SLP?
MustangTuning?

Was it well worth the $165 price tag?

For sure, the sound is great, and I felt a little sotp power. They dont provide you with all the hardware you need in the kit, so I had to purchase some new bolts for the muffler to x pipe connection (4 bolts in all), because I couldnt really use my 8-year-old-bolts seeing how I had to cut them off. I enjoy it though, the smell is kinda annoying, cause I have a vert....but I guess you get used to it. Nothing really beats the feeling of punching it when you go past a honda with a fart can and he just looks and listens in awe.

I have a UPR X-pipe up in my attic currently. It is well-made and sounds great, but I took it off when I went to long tubes. I may be putting it back on the car this winter with a set of shorty headers. I got it off of Ebay for $155-shipped.

Id have to say that the UPR and MT pipes are great for the money. If I hadnt gone with the Prochamber before hearing the UPR in person, thats what would be on my car. Good luck, both are great pieces.

You can't go wrong with either the UPR or the mustangtuning X-pipe.

for long tubes you have to get a mid pipe made for them, I know hooker makes one.

Well since you --did-- say with cats, I'd say Steeda... "NEW 1999-2004 GT X-Pipe 5-spd/auto $399.00"

You'll love it.

Yeah GearBanger, the opening bid is $250, but it's "buy it now" price is $300, and shipping is +-$70.00.

Yeah I just put my mustangtuning.com x-pipe on my car on Friday. it's the first thing I have ever done to a car nad I did it myself. It took 3 hours, but now that I know the problem areas, I can do it in 1 - 1.5 hours. I'll have to take it off in a couple of years for inspection, but I don't see a problem arising.

It was 149 shipping was free. T think it was during the sale they had 2 weeks ago. I also did not get all of the hardware, but it was just a couple of bolts, which I had some laying around. DO IT!
