i have a 1990 LX mustang and i pulled the motor about 3 months ago i havent had a bit of luck since. i had the motor bored 30 over and had some alum pistons had the motor balance and clearanced. i had the stock heads on it before. And then put some 351 heads on it the heads are still considered a small block head i get it mixed up all the time its ethier Windsor or Cleveland but i left stock cam in it its a roller cam with new roller lifters. now i got it runin smooth like there is nothing wrong but now its atleast a whole second slower on the track its slower then it was before how can that be. now do i need to get a different cam are the cam specs different for the 351 head to the 302 head i believe they are, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? u can post here or email me at [email protected]

What heads did you remove, and what heads did you put on? Were they factory heads? Ford shared parts between the 302/351 Windsor engines, and it's very possible that you put a lesser head on (E6 for example) when you took the higher flowing heads off. Or it could be valve float. We really need to know which heads you're using to be able to help more.
