I searched the TSB's and printed out what I need for taking my car in for service, but has anyone had a problem with 05's rear suspension popping on backing up, making a sharp turn. Mine does this on backing out of my parking space at home. My front does occassionally and is one of the things I'm having replaced. I've got 19,000 miles on my 05.. Thanks. Like the format on the TSB's good job.

i do have a loud metal-metal CLANK when backing up and applying the brake for the first time. i think the brake is sticking, but have not yet had a chance to check it out. it only does it after sitting for a while, and only that first time. however, it does not do it every single time so it is hard to duplicate.

When I had my front suspension fixed (popping issue) I had thought it was coming from the back for a while. Once I got it fixed it never happened again. Maybe your ears are playing tricks on you and it is all coming from the front.

OK, thanks for the input. Since I have extended warrany, I'll see if it continues after the front is done. It only sits over night now that I sold my daily driver...and it doesn't do it every time I back out at my apartment...maybe once a week.

Mine does this occasionally. Never really tried to figure it out, just living with it. I have 55,000 miles on my '05.

If the noise also involves a quick single pulsing of the brake pedal while your foot is on it, my '00 GT manual did and and so does my '06 auto. Like bigcat says, it's not often and I only notice it the first time the car is in reverse and applying the brakes. Going forward has never done it.
