Stock T-5's and T-45's suck... atleast in my book.

I bought my car used with 10K miles, about a year and a half-ago... maybe two. Since then i've modded and modded and modded and i've been through 1. One engine (not my fault, ford called it faulty)
2. Two tranys' (one when the engine was replaced)
and then they had to rebuild it about 5 months ago.

So, my engine is fine and good now, but my trany is acting up again. It's a little rough to get into the gears ie. it hits the gear spot then it moves into the gear, it's not all one fluid motion. A few of my friends and other people that've talked to said that they have had similar situations with there tranys... so to make a long story short and get to the point what do you guys/girls think about the G-force transmissions... http://www.g-forcetransmissions.com/... These are my current mods to my transmission.

1. RAM stage 1 clutch kit
2. Steeda quick release clutch quadrant and fire-wall adjuster
3. Steeda tri-ax shifter
4. Re-surfaced the stock flywheel

And would any of you know what might be causeing the trany to keep craping out on me? (And know I don't ride the clutch)

I had a problem like that too. The car wouldnt go into the gears. I didnt know what it was. Then I replaced the clutch. That fixed it. Although it wouldnt be a bad idea to get the clutch cable and stuff, Ive heard good things about those. But honestly, to replace your tranny is a lot of $$. Try the clutch, I bet thats the problem. Unless of course you have already replaced it with a good non-oem one.

Yeah, the list of 1-4 is what I already have done to my tranny. I might re-place the clutch, it might just be bad after a bit of hard driving. if any one else has any more ideas on what it might be, please share. thanks. :nice:

This sounds like you might have pressure plate issues. Could be a bad clutch, improper install, driven too hard too fast, etc etc and I'm sure you can add to the list. But I'd look at the clutch first. Use your warranty if you have one. Once that pressure plate gets scarred and burned, you'll get reactions from your "transmission" like that. Those hot spots are your rough spots and gear slippage. If thats not it, then  new tranny, lots of dough
