I am wanting to put a bigger turbo in my 2.3... my motor is built to handle whattever i can throw at it, so what is the best turbo for these cars? Like i said...breaking the motor is NOT an issue. Spool up time isnt to much of in issure either... i will be spraying a fairly big shot off the line to spool whatever i put in there. The only issue is, you guessed it $$$$$$$ haha... lemme know what u think!

Doesn't matter what anybody says or suggest's on here. You need to go study turbomaps, decide what you need to see done w/ the car, talk to some pro's and buy.

Or maybe 2 turbo's in series, I'm thinking a Holset dumping into an IHI. Nobody's done that and think of the potential!

well i took the block down, hot dipped it, bored it, then balanced and blueprinted the crank, put in some crower sportsman rods, weisco forged pistons, a comp cam, stainless oversized valves, pretty much i built the bottom end up so that i wouldnt have to tear it back apart i dont think its unbreakable by any means but it can handle a bit.

You need to have a horsepower goal before you can decide on a turbo...

yea my compression is 8:1. I am planning on spraying around a 100 shot on the line, i dont really have a hp goal but i would like to go at least 13's. I plan on spraying on the line and down the track with two diffrent shots. I also have a nitrous system on the intercooler. I just dont know what size turbo to go with!

A stock T3 will go high 12's...add nitrous and it will go mid 11's...don't bother with a hybrid.
