Billet Interior HELP!!!

Hi All,

I have a 2003 GT. I have been buying the billet interior upgrades gradually and as of late I picked up the headlight knob, cruise control, and stereo volume knob. I am a little nervous about removing the stock equipment. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Nervous? It all just pops right off with the exception of the headlight knob and you just push the clip in from the little slot and it slides right out. What volume control knob replacement do you have? Mine has buttons, not knobs.

It's the bullit shaped volume/power knob on the mach stereo.

To get the headlight knob off it can be very tricky and a real PITA, but to make thing s easier get a screw bend it about a 90 degree angle and pull back on the little springy thing.

dont worry about it, a small child could do the install. now if you get the bullit pedals that is anouther story.

So true! I couldn't believe how tricky this was - I had to get my wife to help...and, of course, she was able to get it!

I'm not so much a fan of billet peices as i am of the silver IUP center console trim. To me that looks much better.

Well since no one else has posted pics, I thought I'd help you out. www.cardomain.com/id/myponyrocks13 I dont have pics of the headlight or pedals yet, I dont have the gas pedal on yet, but the rubbers and dead pedal are quite simple with a lil soapy water (oh and you will probly break the dead pedal removing it). The head light is easy as well, simple small flat head, pull on the metal tab and it comes off. Att the rest is pry, pull, snap and shine Simple mods, howver I'm having an issue with the UPR cruise control buttons, they make my horn honk I think its more installer problem than anything else, and if its not me, well I havent sold the origonals on e-bay yet

Those factory Bullit pedals were so much of a PITA! Took me a couple hours.

It is very easy, the headlight knob is the hardest as there is a spring that presses against the shaft. A small screwdriver will easily pry it off however. Save your receipts on those pieces you bought, and check out the ad in the classifieds for the billet knobs for sale, you'll save a bunch of money.
