this is one billet part i recommend you do not buy. i'm nearly insulted they expected me to drill holes into my existing speaker cover to slap on this poorly designed kit. the fit was horrible and required me to cut away pieces of plastic on the backside of the factory speaker cover to make room for the nuts included with the billet piece.

nevertheless, after finally getting them to fit i think it looks pretty good. thoughts? here are some pics detailing the billet piece...

this shows where i had to cut away plastic on the rim of the backside of the cover

this shows why i had to cut away areas of the plastic. it would be impossible to screw the nut on with the plastic still there. plastic had to be cut away at each screw to get the nuts on

there are 6 screws total—this shows one of the 2 spots where it actually says in the instructions that you will not be able to place a nut on...and it's obvious why

few shots of the billet piece on the speaker cover

silverhorse honeycomb panel that has nothing to do with the billet speaker covers, but thought i'd show anyway since i just put it on

They would have looked better in the end had the factory grill been left off completely and the speaker underneath look decent enough to expose. I like the way my Kickers look.

definitely agreee...it's probably my biggest gripe about the interior. the factory covers stick out like a sore thumb. they look more like an afterthought than an original part of the interior

NO not the kicker ones, trust me I played with them when I installed the CVR 8" in the door, I much prefer the factory over the kicker ones....

I don't care much for the covers. If I were to buy custome covers like that, I'd expect to see the nice speaker behind them. Seems to be the whole point of custom covers. Also, it seems like the design could have been better. Coming from an engineer, there are quite a few ways they could have designed those to not require cutting the plastic.

I do like the honeycomb rear though. Looks nice. Normally I couldn't see myself spending money on appearance mods... I'm much more of a performance guy. but that tail panel does look nice.

BTW.. First post on here. Just bought a 07 GT on Saturday, with 3.4 miles on the odometer, and loving every second of it! I have a funny feeling that you'll be hearing a lot more from me.

I installed the same covers and have to agree with you 100%. Instructions very unclear and unless speaker cover isn't modified speaker cover screws won't work. Very frustrating!!!!
