Black shows every imperfection. What colors do the opposite?

I'm looking at painting my car sometime in the near future and my car is not perfect. I want to do a color change because the car is black. What colors do you recommend that will help hide any flaws in bodywork? This is no show car and I don't plan on spending thousands. I would just like a fresh coat of paint because the paint on it now is starting to peel.

white will hide poor bodywork, silver will hide dirt and scratches.

yeah i'd say silver or dark grey. my mom's 03gt is that mineral grey color and it keeps clean pretty nice. its also pretty hard to find small scratches on it. but then again i dont know how much it would cost to paint it that color....

white is always gonna be the most forgiving gloss color for body work but silver, grey and champagne gold will be the best at hiding dirt

my impreza is crystal grey metallic. It does a really good job of hiding all the dirt. I rarely need to wash it, where as the stang I wash religiously every weekend.

Any dark color will show imperfections more than a light color. I would try for something in the middle though, dark colors have more "depth" and look glossier usually. My silver/blue (I forget the name of the color, but it's something stupid like "morning mist blue sliver") Ranger hides paint problems well, as does our yellow (kind of an orangy yellow) Baja. Metallics and pearls will really draw out imperfections, so I'd stay away from them.
