Black works great when you spray over some beat stock wheels.

I only like black wheels with polished lips, all black like the black saleens I'd pass. The black wheels that look like the actually have a clear coat rather then the dull look are alot better as well. Black however compliments just about any color, some better than others, more so black or brighter colors. I think black got liked because for 1) Chrome and silver are nothing unique anymore, and over used 2)It's an old school look, you'll find many factory cars back in the day had black wheels as well.

Personally 65effie, if you don't care for black wheels that's totally fine..we all have certain likes. Just like some people like myself don't care for the silver striping on your hood. It's really what you like yourself when it comes down to it, as much as I hate the ricer looks, if they think it looks good then well that is their choice. I chose black wheels because I'm complimenting the torch red with black colors on the body. You don't see much but eventually I will have a Mach 1 chin spoiler, tinted windows, steeda rear wing, with black winglets, along with the mach 1 grille delete, and black bumper inserts and dark interior pieces that I already have.

Hey at least I got you to have some fun. Yeah I know I jumped the gun with the decals before I installed the body kit, but that is why it's a project on a budget. Just one more decal needed to have everything to make an exact clone.

I'm just messin with you man. There are so many mustangs out there, I say to each his own. I hate neon lights under cars, but some people think its cool to them, thats all that matters. As long as ur happy with it. It can't be as bad as a ricer with a grocery cart handle for a wing, or a 80s Chevy Caprice with Thanksgiving Platters for wheels (Turkeys included).

I also like black wheels which is why I have black bullits on my Lightning. I have chrome on the mustang and hate them. Like said above, it's just personal taste, hate to think we had to all ride around with the same chrome wheels on our cars. They do help show off our brakes, plus I like the Saleen decals.

I like the looks of my black DD Bullitts on my black Cobra. Besides not many people have them and everyone has chrome Bullitts, Saleen wheels, 95/98 Cobra Rs or 03+ Cobra wheels.

If you get a glossy black wheel like in my sig, they look VERY good IMO in person. Pictures online just dont do them justice...

A flat black color, I could see looking like a blacked out wheel... I dont know, I think my wheels are dead sexy, I guess thats all that matters...

When I get rims, I'm going with Black fr500's on my white 99 cobra.

In my opinion Black wheels look great on a car with colors like...
-White
-Yellow
-Torch Red (Sometimes)
-Green (Sometimes)

Looks bad on...
-Dark shadow Gray
-Black (Not always)
-Blue (Depends)

black wheels get nothing since they're too hard to see and they blend in with the wheel well too well. i think black shades such as gunmetal, hypercoat, and black chrome look nice though.

Ive got 99 Ford Cobra polished aluminum wheels now, only because I got them NEW for $50 each from a guy who is a mechanic at a dealer.

My car is black and Im getting the deep dish bullitt wheels in black. Always liked more subtle cars than flash. The concept of "sleeper" cars always fascinated me. While a mustang is hardly a sleeper, the black rims look tight.

Has anyone seen the black chrome fr500's floating around on Ebay? Exactly what I want to put on my Mach. Just in 18's and rear deep dish. Will definetly mesh the White/Black of the car. I do agree that pure black(with no polished lip) blends the tires too much on most cars.

some pics from summer.

I've always liked wheels that aren't chrome or silver, I had some white rims on my stang for a while, and decided to switch it up I got some black fr500's. I can't see why anyone would hate them.

I'm not usually one to bash, but your question is absolute idiocy. That's like asking why someone's favorite color is blue. Or why they like the taste of sushi. Hell, that's even like asking why someone likes white striped hoods. IMO multi-colored hoods FTL.

But don't worry, we don't judge you for your white striped hood like you judge us for our black wheels

or like asking why someone owns a 94-98 Mustang, why???

lol

I like that...I actually get compliments from a lot of new edge guys.

they like how sleek my car is compared to thiers

tinted, dropped, rims + Sn95= SEX

I like black rims on certain cars.

I think black rims with a polished lip would look good on my car...but I went with machined 03 18 inch cobras

i am not a huge fan of black rims either, on some cars they look great, but most...not so much.

i am however a big fan of anthricite, hypercoated, black chrome wheels. i have antricite on my 04 DSG GT and i love them.

someday i will have a white 96-98 cobra with anthricite fr-500's and 94-95 tail lights and a 03-04 cobra motor and interior.
