Well I blew a plug out today. The bent electrode I'm Assuming is from when I limped it back to work and the plug probably was rattling around. Hopefully the head is okay. If not, I have the rethread kit for these mod motors. Either way, it sucks.

Timeserts seem the way to go, but they want 400 for the kit. That's steep

Sometimes you can rent a timesert kit from someone for much less. It would be worth making a forum post on multiple mustang forums. Usually pay shipping to and from and well as a deposit/rental fee that some of it is returned once the kit is back in owners hands. Its all private though so some risk is involved.

Been there. I got a performance shop to do the timeserts. Doing it your self; you could risk removing to much aluminum. That would destroy the head.

I have the kit that I will rent you. It's very easy to do and comes with instructions. No need to fear messing the heads.

Awesome. Right now I have a steel helicoil in it, and it's holding so far. I just check the plug torque weekly. But this winter when it's in storage, I am going to pull the heads, and then if still possible, I would like to rent the kit from you
