that sucks man. my tranny blew about 8 months or so ago. it really sucked. i was lucky to get one for $500 locally installed cause my dad knows alot of people.

check summit.com, 50resto.com, mustangsunlimited.

These guys are experts on trannys:

Here's some used tremecs listed on corral:

Good luck.

I will second the D and D performance. There new T-5 is 999. It features heavy duty parts than stock and a steel bearing reatainer. That is the best way to go. I can't speak for myself on my T-5 because I had mine fixed. But I did by my T-45 from them 2 years ago. Still is holding up behind my Vobra.

My trans went out 2 months ago and I havent been able to decide how I want to repair it yet. The D&D tranny that is mentioned in the 3rd and 4th posts, is that tranny stonger than the world class because it was one of the options I was considering. I was also thinking about saving some mor money for a G-Force T-5, because of the power that Im making now is still with the stock heads, and want to get better heads and run more boost later on. Sorry I didnt mean to hijack the thread its just that I dont want to have to spend money more than once on a trans.

ttt - the guy i got the car from has a tremec 3550, centerforce dual friction clutch and 50oz. flywheel, aluminum bellhousing, shift fork, pro-50 shifter, throwout bearing, and aluminum driveshaft all for 1300 and i can pick it up. hows this deal sound?
