Hey guys,
I was driving home today and I stepped on it pretty hard at one point and heard a pop from the engine bay. Yada yada coolant was everywhere. Turned around and shut the car off to find the coolant hose at the T junction in front of the radiator had "popped" off. It literally just popped off and was laying further down in the engine bay. Any ideas on why this would happen? How could I have built up enough pressure in the coolant system to pop a hose off?

Thanks,
AmdMAN

First time I've ever heard of that happening before? Have fun "burping" the system now... sometimes these Cobra's can be a real PITA to get all the air out of the system.

Yea but I would rather not go through all the trouble to find it does it again when I step on it. No ideas how the coolant system would get that pressurized?

Did you remove that hose at any time since you've owned the car? Maybe it was removed, but never properly tightened upon reassembly?

I would chalk it up to a faulty clamp or loose hose.

No I haven't removed it since I had it. It doesn't feel very tight though when I put it back on. I might try and get a new clamp for it when I get some more coolant today.
