well didn't even get car to the dyno yet and blew up my low milage 4.6 2v in my new project, drove car 100 mls last weekend with procharger on it, had very conservitive base line chip on it never revved it over 3500 under load, when disaster struck wed. after noon. took on test drive just got chip burn nailed that would let car idle smooth, drove about 10 mls from work up 26, down 217 went up to car suburu body shop to show my buddy that hooked me up with all body and paint to get car on road, when after the car sat idling for 3-4 minutes, i revved it to 4-5k just enough to make my blow off valve woosh!!! it said bang you don't pay me enough and died. well i restarted it and it had death knock. had it towwed back to damerow and took all plugs out, looked with a boreiscope all pistons ok but locks up when turning with breaker bar, and clunk at base of cyl 1,2. i was hoping santa would bring me a new motor today but no such luck. merry christmas every one, later wally

Who does all your tuning it seems that two of the threads I've read you have both had extreme problems sound like bad tunes the kind were they burn a check for he and send out the door and say see if this works sounds like you to look for a new shop. There's a new one in Vancouver called fast specialties number is 360 213 271 maybe they can help with some of your tuning issues there's no reason for your engine to blow at such low RPMs. Sorry for the bad luck

There is cause for a problem when you drop a part in the cylinder Cubicgator didnt tell the WHOLE story...hehe. I cant laugh too loud, cause my luck on my own stuff has been about the same, but the motor wasnt hurt by a poor tune....far from it. His tuner is overly safe actually.... AND well trusted

Lol...not much juice to tell, i just cant believe the tactics of some shops placing blame without knowing the whole story. The problem wasnt the tune as pithon stated, he does not know the situation, nor does he likely know who Cubicgator IS

maybe you should shut the f##k up python

python maybe you should shut you ignorant F@@king mouth before you get yourself in trouble. for one ive never seen a rod break on a bad tune and for two maybe you should see how the owner of fast specialties can drive over his own crank on a new 347 that he built sounds like some quality crap, yes i witnesses it with my own eyes thanks. my tune was a safe one and was just to drive to the dyno. no jeff it wasn't what we thought about the piston on number 6 all pistons were fine its rod on number 1 or 2. for those who want to know about what he is talking about. i bought the car wrecked in peices and the motor low miles used, well after i put it all together i started it ran great, first time i cracked throttle a tick started then it started to miss. checked motor and found number 6 to be missing, i pulled plug and found end smashed.used boriscope at dealer found a bolt on head of number 6 piston. well we got it out and it ran fine i drove it for a month this summer n/a perfect. after i blew motor i pulled all plugs yes they looked dark and safe. i was involved insetting chip for base tune so you insulted me also python. just caused some can buy a dyno doesn't mean they know how to use it, and just because someone grew up around fords and a ford shop sure doesn't mean they know anything about latemodel vehicles or how to tune them.

This is neither here nor ther, but when Ron broke his crank, word is it had an impurity in it right behind the snout. Guess that is one reason not to run Eagle (made in china) cranks....

Scat and Calliles (is that how they spell it?) I think, are the only ones still made in the US.

Anybody know who Python is?

Which is why I would NEVER externally balance a motor like that. Growing up with an engine builder as a father taught me that. Weak crank or not, you are asking for trouble.

well if you go back and look at all there wopping 10 posts most of them are posted just to push fast specialties, so i got my guesses. anyone else?????
if they want to come on and push the shop on a thread that i am telling a story about a expensive and unfortunate incident with my mustang, then i guess that tells what kind of person they are, and people associated with FAST SPECIALTIES are all about. my daughter burned her self on the stove tonight why don't you come on and say its jeff or chungs fault too phithon??? why not some more plugs at my expense.
