man I'm definately diggin that, I usually have a no-black rim policy but that looks tight and I've never seen a combo like that! When your done with the backs too can you please take a side profile pic so we can see what it looks like????

Took better part of a Saturday as I changed the rotors too and took my dust shields off. Those took the longest as the front ones are riveted on. Also you have to let the paint dry in between coats. It takes a lot of coats if you don't sand the finish down. I let the paint fill in the castings cause I'm lazy. :)

I actually screwed up the paint trying to get one calipur on cause it wasn't completely dry and didn't want to fit. Some quick masking with paper and I reshot a couple coats after it was assembled. Can't tell the difference. ;)

After I used brake clean to get the major crap off, I used the wire brush on the dremel for the good cleaning... that's what you see in the first pic.

Oh and for what it's worth, I did that 3 weeks ago. They are holding up great! Why pay for that expensive rotor paint when you can get some cheap engine paint and clear? :nice:

you used the ford red and the one is a clear coat??

Yup.... Wal-mart - under $4 a can. :D The clear will do all of them, and the red MIGHT, but I bought a second can just in case. Plus I may hit a few key places under the hood like this.

The reason I wanted to wait on the backs was to see if the paint stayed or not. BTW - I cleared the out side of my pads and painted the rotors black and cleared the edges and center.

The first 50ft was kinda rough since I painted the whole rotor, but I wanted to make sure everything was covered as the brake pads could move a little. I recently lost my cable for my digital camera :bang: , but I'll take some more pics when it's all done. :nice:
