blower oil return: is this the right punch ...

... to make the hole in the pan for the oil return fitting? i drill a small hole first, then stick this in and bang on it until it is just barely big enough to use the tap to make the threads, right?

DO NOT DRILL.... You will get metal shavings in your oil pan...

Just use the pointiest punch you have (even an unplated nail) to get the hole started then continue to enlarge it with punches until it is big enough... it is not easy and an air hammer helps a lot as there is not much swinging room for a regular hammer.

Did you buy the blower kit brand new or is this a used one? Mine came w/ a tool to initially punch the oil pan and then the expander tool to make the hole bigger.

I am doing a DIY turbo. Oink made the hot side, it came yesterday.
