Anyone running a setup like this? either with a blower carb or with vortec's box? I am thinking it maybe a cool thing to do to my car. Or are there any roots style blowers for a 351w. I have not been able to find one.

Hmmmm... I don't know of any Roots blowers for the 351. The Holley 174 has a 302 lower intake but I haven't seen a 351 lower for it. I suppose you could .... er wait a tick....

Aha! Found it! Pardon the delay. hehe

Yea,course thats all new stuff, you can find good deals with the used blowers, but the 351W intake are just hard to find used, and thats probably the part you would have to get new.

As for a 6-71 they can make good power 600-700hp on gas with medium boost.

if you dont know blowers, buying one used can bite you hard. All types of junk GMC blowers on ebay, timed wrong, wrong endplates etc... Just thrown together polished and you got a junk blower that will lock up in 10 minutes.

Thats true, when looking for blowers you should stick with a racing blower.BDS,Hampton,Littlefield,BlowerShop,ect. usualy are good blowers, and some of thier racing models have the anodized cases and rotors for alky use.I know they make the rotors with the Teflon coating, but I wonder how that would hold up befor it started to flake?

99% of all established blower companies use old gmc cores but thats where it stops. No blowers are brand new so to speak there all old cores just reman'd by people that know blowers very well.
