I now have the 10 point roll cage ordered and its on its way. I get to start mocking it up very soon. I also got a built c4 transmission with the car supposedly built to handle 1400 hp but I am going to have a trans shop take it apart and make sure before i go and bolt it up to my motor. I also have a built 8.8 that is going under it after it gets heavily modified with braces and the tubes get welded up. More pics to come soon.

So I spent some more time working on the car last night. I found out whoever painted this last and shot the primer on it never took off the side scoops, side skirts, or any other moldings for that matter so needless to say the quality isn't very good. I got the fenders off and sprayed the engine bay down to remove alot of the dirt and grime that was under the fenders and in the strut tower area. I got the dash removed and the wiring behind the dash removed. Tonight I am going to finish stripping the inside of the car and start getting rid of all unnecessary wiring and the abs module. I don't really need that on this car.

Yesterday I got my roll cage in. It looks to be a good quality cage. Now comes the custom fabrication to stiffen the chassis and rear suspension to be able to handle the amount of horsepower I am going to be putting down.

Yeah I am going to be doing something similar to these photos. I have been doing alot of searching online on what would be the strongest to prevent chassis twist and here are some pics. Alright It took me almost an hour to find these pics again but here is a link to a car that was done very nice. My setup will be very comparable to these pics.

WIKDLXII-Chassis & Fabrication

As well as these pics. I am sure alot of you have followed this thread as well. I am just astounded at all of the work that has come out of this car. It looks amazing as i am sure most of you will agree. I am pulling alot of my ideas from both of these amazing cars.

I got the cage from this place.

Roll Bars/Cages

So far so good. It looks good so far. i hope to get it in in the next week or so so I can start working on getting the interior back in it. I am going carb setup.

The current setup which I think I have finally made up my mind on is going to be a dart 351w based motor stroked to a 454 with some afr 225cc heads and 72cc combustion chambers with a teflon stripped 671 blower pushing about 18 lbs of boost. I talked to the machine shop that is going to be building my motor and they said 1000hp at the rear wheels is easily gonna be obtainable by this setup. I will not stop until it has at least that much at the rear wheels.

those 6-71's arent the most efficient things, you should look for a F-1c or F-1r procharger, that will get you in the 8s no prob

Did you put your 95 back together the way it was? The paint job on that car is sweet.

Since I am putting a big blower on this car I am putting it back together just not the same as it was. The body is still all together on it. I just have to put a motor and transmission in it. I was thinking like a TKO 500 and a mild 351w build. Hopefully pushing about 400. I want to be able to drive it more often than I did. And since the other motor is going to be a gas guzzler I figured I would make that. one a little more fun to drive. I will take pics of the garage today and post them. Its filled with mustangs and parts.

Here are some pics of the garage and the project cars. I find it funny that 90% of the stuff in my garage is all mustang related in some way.

wow I can hardly stayed focused on one project. Looks like fun.

I'm a little confused with exactly your plans are for each car. What's the time frame for both?

Its been a while since I have done any updates on the builds. I bought my first home and between the remodel and all the little things that now have to be done it doesn't leave me much time for my projects. Well now that I am finally getting some time freed up I have for sure decided which way I am going to go to put my first car back together. I picked up a 2002 gt with what was supposed to be some small motor problems for a good price but turned out to be more. Oh well gonna get it fixed and move on. Here is the thread I started explaining that.

http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/824015-good-find-big-dissapointment.html#post8295904

I also have a big list of parts for it collected already including 42# injectors, professional products upper plenum and throttle body, C&L intake, pypes long tube headers, off road x pipe, mac mufflers, I have an IRS setup going in the car with upgraded diff and braces with 3.55 gears, roush performance guage cluster, polyurethane motor and transmission mounts, and a 150 shot of nitrous with what is surely more to come. I know I have to get a new clutch and I am putting in adjustable cam gears since the motor I have already has cams, and patriot performance valve spring upgrade, a SLP line lock kit and more. Pics will be up in the next day or two.

Here is the latest edition to my parts collection. I decided since I was just going to make this a driver car and not try and go all out on speed that I wanted a little smooter ride and opted for an irs setup for the rear.
