Yeah that is rare on a 17 footer. Do they do much on a boat that small? Nice looking boat though!

They are really nice and come in handy when cruising. I can also pick up an extra 5-10 mph without hitting the throttle.

Yeah thats true... One of the funniest boat things I have ever seen (I saw a LOT of amazing stuff in NJ people drive their boats like their cars) was my ex's father, NOT a boat guy. Bought a 24" Stingray cruiser. Watching him try to figure out the trim tabs and having the boat list left, then right, then left then right... for the whole trip. He spent the whole time playing with them. Needless to say I saw a few boat accidents, anchor lines cut by other boats, fights... you name it it happened down there!

Yeah, the best thing to do on a boat that small is just keep them up all the way and only bump one down a hair if the boat is leaning to one side(too much weight on on side) I do understand them on some small boats that get out of balance if a cooler slides to one side a little. Kinda wished I has some on my little 17' IMP I used to have, people would have to shift their weight to one side or the other at different speeds. It was a little annoying.

I have seen my share of funny boat scenes in the Great Lakes area. My favorite is watching guys at the boat launch bitch out there wife for having trouble loading the boat on the trailor and making a big scene. I probably see at least one of those every 4th of July.
Also never ride a Wego Kite Tube.

OK Bayliner already causing problems. It's in our driveway but I have it angled just right ,,, so I thought to get the stang in and out of the garage. It worked fine on Monday. Today im backing it back in and had to go foward a bit and ran into the driver side taillight on the trailer and put a huge freakn gash on the right lower front near the foglight.
For those who remember I just had the Stang painted about 2mths ago

Now it has to go back to the body shop to be fixed.

And i broke the light off the damn trailer.

Boat looks clean, sorry to hear about the car and trailer. I always sucks doing something like that when it's only your fault. No worries though, I am sure it will be fixed without a huge headache.

Now I want to be out on the water, LOL!

TY man, it is very clean esp for it's age. It's a 1994, has one bitty bitty tear on the very front bow cushion that I thinkk come from the anchor being pulled up. Other than that not even any mildew stains.

TY again.
Oh yea I hope the Stang repair wont be more than a couple hundred bucks to fix.

Looks real clean, I think you got a decent buy. Enjoy it! Check in your local phone book for a vinyl repair shop. Those guys can fix tears and it will look like brand new. I though f/g and gel coat repair was a pain sometimes but those vinyl guys amaze me. Good luck with it and be safe out there.

Good looking boat. Looks like a nice clean boat. Don't worry, my boat has attacked my vehicles too. I was in a hurry and forgot to put the pin in the tongue lock. While backing out of the drive the boat trailer came off the ball and put a nice dent in the tailgate. Thankfully it didnt happend while going down the road.

LOL, about 3-4 years ago at the marina I work for, the owner came over for our Thursday morning meeting as usual and he said he was going to haul one of our new 2200 Regals back to the other marina when he left. So, I go get the boat and pull it out to where his Yukon could get to it (moved boats with a skid loader) and told the detailed to get the right ball on and everything. He did and then he hooked the boat up to the truck. 30 minutes later the owner leaves, 3 minutes after that here he comes walking down the driveway, I thought to myself "holy $hit what happened" I thought he got into a wreck or something. As he get closer I see the EVIL EYE and go ask what was wrong. He said the pin wasn't in the hitch and the trailer tongue was under the Yukon on the groung still hooked uo to the hitch. Then I had to explain that I wasn't the one who rigged him up and he then went inside. I wanted to beat the crap out of that kid (28 yrs old) 6 yrs older than me but about as ignorant as ever! I then proceeded to ream his a$$ and got fix everything. I did get a good laugh at it once he was gone and knew he didn't blame it on me. Stuff happens though, no biggie. I just didn't like the detailer.

I think everyone who has towed a boat for more than a dozen times, has once forgot the pin. Our old van had a dent in the door from the trailer. Same with the drain plug, sometimes people forget it, even though it is small, it can cause major problems.

All this boat talk is making me want one bad... I will probably get our 18' Hydrasports ski boat out one of these days for some skiing, and such!

I need to install a newer system in this one. It has the original speakers (2) and craig's tape deck with a dial indicator to change the station. But ya know what it still works great, no crackle from blown speakers and tuned right in to the radio station.
I want to add some speakers in the bow area and possibly 2 more in the rear, dont want to ghetto it up though.

Thats the beauty of most boats, you can get inside them, get the wires and stuff run, and keep them out of the way and clean. Something that looks factory but performs great! Will make those boating trips more fun!

I grew up in an 18' Chris Craft bow rider on Lake Erie!! You are building lifetime memories for your kids. Have fun with the boat and enjoy the time with the Kid's. It is precious.

My dad just sold his 28' Formula (2x350's ) this year. I miss it too.

P.S. the boat looks very clean. My brother just got rid of a '77 19' bowrider that still ran fine. He didn't have a place to store it anymore!

Our Hydrasports is a 1979 with a same year Mercury 150 Black Max. We store it for years at a time, and the thing always starts right up after a cleaning and tune up. To this day it will run 60 mph with the right prop!
