Our 2015 Mustang recently got hit by a deer. The deer hit the front right panel, took off the mirror, and then made a fairly big dent in the rear panel. Basically the whole side has to be replaced. It is been in the shop for eight weeks. A job the insurance thought would take 12 days. The dealership says they have to use the Ford protocol but does eight weeks seem like a long time?

That's way too long. The insurance quote of 12 working days sounds more reasonable. They most likely have not been working it that whole time. You may want some clarification on the "Ford protocol". Have you checked in on them during this time? You need updates on where they stand and how much more they have left.
