My 91gt was in an accident before I got it. The door didn't really sit right on the drivers side but it worked fine for 2 years. It sags a little but when it hits the car it is pushed up into place. Today it became a problem, I couldn't just swing the door shut, I had to lift it into place.

Is there any way to shim the door? or alter the hinge so that it swings right? How much $ would it be at the body shop? Is it even possible to fix?

Thanks, just want to see what you guys think before I get time to bring it to a body shop

well if it JUST happend today, then chances are the plastic bushings on the hinge pins broke... Look real close at the hinges that bolt the door to the body, an you will see little white bushings... if they suddenly broke, that would give you that problem... mine did the same thing. in order to really get them lined up good, you have to pull the fenders off. You can do what i did, an just put a jack an 2X4 under the door an LIGHTLY jack it up till you get it where you want it. Take it to a body shop an see how much they want to do it. Thats if you dont want to try an fix it yourself... not that hard!!!
