What to do?

What do you guys suggest I do with this car? Since you say I can't swap heads, what would be the best thing to do? What about rebuilding with lower compression pistons in the NA block? Turbo head then? i want a carbed and turbo setup, fuel injection doesn't bother me as this car won't be driven every day, i have a beater s-10 for that. What would you do?

You do NOT want a carb turbo setup unless you really love screwing with miles of vacuum lines just to make hardly any power. EFI is the only way to go with these engines.

If you're willing to go to the trouble of rebuilding your current block (not worth it btw - small crank journals, no dizzy hole, no oil drain hole, etc), why not just stick the right turbo shortblock in like we've been telling you to?

my check engine light is on. Its seems to be more of a weak ignition, so i will start there. thanks.

if the CE light is on, scan for codes and it will tell you what is wrong.

As stated, going carb turbo is a mistake...
