well im new to these forums but ive been with the Mustangforums.com group for quite some time. i have a 1986 GT. recently my car has started to basically bog after a certain amount of rpms/throttle position. it feels like the cylinders arent firing correctly. i have pretty much new spark plugs and i know they are gapped right. my only thought is either those cylinders are goin or my injectors took a dump on me. any help would be appriciated.

did you just do plugs? or did you do the cap and rotor also. you could also chech the injectors to see if they are firing. if you have a long screwdriver place the flat headed part on the injector and put your ear to the handle and listen for the tick that is produced form the injector. Also when is the last time you changed your fuel filter??? it could be getting enough fuel at low rpm's yet when you raise the rpm's the fuel filter is not allowing the right amount of fuel the the injectors. i would also look into that.

ive done cap, rotor, and fuel filter. plug wires as well. i did all that stuff for the tune up when i bought it less than a year ago. all i can think of is my water pump is going out and it ran hot for about 15 minutes one day so im trying to factor that in as well.

Welcome to stangnet :SNSign:

Start out by pulling the codes.
There are too many things that COULD be wrong. We would just be guessing.

Most often the codes give you a direction to go in.
