Hi all--I have a piece of my console that I need to put back---part of the "rim" that holds the ashtray. What can I use to put this chunk back? It is hidden, so pretty ain't necessary, but it does need to be sturdy.
If you want to reinforce it from the bottom, use some fiberglass cloth and a product like JB Weld. If you want to repair a piece with a nearly invisible repair, go to your local Hobby Shop and buy a product called Tenax-7R Follow the directions, also wear some rubber gloves. It will slightly melt the edge of the plastic console pieces and allow the pieces to "reflow" together again. When it rehardens, you have made a repair without glue, or glue stains showing.
