I bought a few parts today,...

Ponydown Stage 2 "tuner" kit, with Master power T-70, 42 pounders, a C&L 76 blow-threw, and 38mm tail with 9psi spring and manual boost controler.
Spec stange 2 clutch
70mm tb/egr
Autometer Sport comp II Fuel psi & boost gauges
AEM 6-1 wideband
3 pod a-pillar
aluim rad.
Steeda Quadrent, firewall ajuster, & aj. cable

Aready have a E-303 in it, even with the stock intake manifold should still be able to max out the stock block.

A 60-1 can max out a 5.0 block, a T70 can destroy one. But if your careful in your tune and dont get too greedy it will be fine. Will be interesting to see your new monster come to life. Keep us posted.

turbo kit was 2799+500 for the injectors & MAF. Got it from ponydown.net Still have the T-5 in there but it seems pretty fresh. Hopefully it will hold out for the t-56 swap.

What do you use to tune yours ej, just the BTM? I should buy one of those too,...

Nice! Looks like fun!
I'm probably going to pick up a notch next year after my upcoming contract job and build a VERY light weight turbo notch strip car.

Holy crap! That is awesome Matt!!! There is a couple of people on here who have broken some 5.0 blocks. If anyone remembers Noong, he went through about half a dozen blocks, but he was running quite a bit of boost. I have been toying around with the idea of twins on the cobra, but I dunno yet.

You may need to get your hands on a Tweecer for some basic tuning. The other option is a stand a alone fuel management system.

Good luck!

I turbo is such a good investment. Take my car for example, last weekend I had to come into work sat eve to put some more parts on our laser to cut over night. I drove my turbo car up from Canby to Beaverton (25-30miles) then over to 24hrSB (1-2miles) then out to the Sonic drive-in in Hillsbouro (10miles) then back to work (10miles) then down through Portland, over to 99E, and back into Canby around 2 AM(40+miles??) The car ran great, and I can't wait to take it out again. It has no overdrive(C-4 trans) but with the 3.08 gears it keeps up with traffic at around 2500-2700 rpm, and pretty much any turbocharged V-8 Mustang can and should run 10's....... even with a stock engine from TB to oilpan.....

hmmmmm, i just ordered the final part of my turbo kit from ponydown about a week ago and it shipped out today once they finished fabbing it(turbo manifolds). looks like i just need oil lines and a couple more pieces of intercooler piping.

we'll have to see how we match up once i have my MS II in and tuned with the
T72. I can't wait.

Cool, my parents have a place down there in Sunriver. Really nice place to just hangout or do outdoor stuff. Gonna be heading down in Nov for some R and R with the wife I hope you do bring your turbo car down when you get if finished, there seems to be more and more of them poping up. You need any help, just let me know. That goes for all you Turbo guys/gals out there...

2 to 3 weeks build time,.....

Also thinking of just buying the AEM stand alone instead of just buying a MSD BTM.

AEM... You will not regret it

I also recommend going through Bob Kurgan if you go AEM...

http://www.kurganmotorsports.com/

If you need a MSD BTM in the meantime... let me know I have one sitting on the shelf.
