boost gauge install

Where is the best place for the vacuum line to go through the fire wall? Mine also has 3 positve leads one for the color memory (always on), one for the power on (switched on) and one thats supposed to hook up to the parking lights. Where would I find the best place for these sources?

I put the hole in the firewall right above the throttle cable - my gauges are located in the gauge cluster bezel so this was a convenient close place. First I punched the firewall, then drilled it out and deburred it, installed rubber grommet, ran the line, then filled the grommet with silicone for a better seal.

The fusebox on the left under the drivers side dash has plenty of places to tap for power, though personally I only used the gauge cluster light on wire in that box, the rest I ran wires over to the passenger side kick panel and tapped into some thicker gauge wires.

Mine is the little white tube that you see, my car came with an alarm, so I snaked it through that hole, this is a really good spot for the hole though, if you drill yourself.

Go to autozone and buy this thing called a fuse splitter (or something) it's in the fuse section. Then plug it into the "Adjustible Illumination" fuse hole. Good luck!

I have an autometer cobalt boost gauge. My vacuum line didnt have to go into the pass. compartment. It plugged into a vacuum line, then ran to a vacuum/pressure sensor and I had to run the wires from that through the rubber gromet in the firewall on the driver's side.

Well with my cheap azz ebay one u do. I also only paid 450 for my intercooler. 220 for my plenum and tb. I like cheap.

Hey I prefer cheap too. But have had bad luck with some cheap stuff in the past. So Im willing to shell out some cash where need be.
