Is there any real value of installing a boost gauge along with the S/C ? I was thinking of putting in a pillar pod with a boost and water temp gauge but now I'm not so convinced that they would be all that useful. If it does make sense I'm guessing that an electronic boost gauge would be the easiest install on a pillar pod.

Man a boost gauge is like +20HP!!!

Honestly. I think it is more of a preference thing. I am getting ready to wire up my MAP sensor but I will only be using it to datalog and for vacuum troubleshooting.

I would bet most guys want one. I am a wierdo and anti-gauges everywhere.

Autometer does make a nice bezel that replaces the stock instrument cluster surrounding bezel. The Green GT has one and I've seen it in person - it looks nice. I'd go with that were I to succumb to gauge-itis. :-D

I have a boost/vac gauge and Cluster Bezel. The only thing I do not like about it is the gauge won't go all the way back into it.

Other than a boost/vac gauge I also have a useless nb02 gauge. I just bought that to fill in the extra hole.

I just wanted the boost/vac gauge to make sure everything was working right. For example I wanted to make sure I was at 7-8psi not, 14-15.

It also helped me decide to take off my boost controller when I saw the boost keep climbing past 11.

I know s/c don't have boost controllers, but it could help if you have belt slip, or something along those lines. But if you have a MAP sensor and tweecer r/t you could just watch it there.

Well that sort of sums up my feelings. Since I don't have gaugitis and don't need the extra 20 hp ;>) I'll just put the thought into file 13. Thanks

I had to cut the stud on the back of it to make it fit all the way back into the bezel.

I have a Boost/Vac gauge, and a Fuel Pressure gauge mounted on the A-Pillar.
Like was already mentioned I like to look at them to verify nothing has changed.
I watch that the vacuum is the same as it always is, and that the boost goes to the level I expect.
All in all I don't look at the boost gauge too much though. Mostly the fuel pressure gauge.

already did that and it still does not go all the way back

Not sure how it is on your blower car, but I really liked having one with a turbo. I used to fart around with my wastegate. I wanted to know if the gate got stuck and the gauge told me that.

I'm pro-gauges. I like to know what my car's doing and the stock stuff just isn't accurate.

Plus, when a problem does come up....having a boost/vacuum gauge, a water temp gauge, etc. can help you pinpoint the problem.....been there done that.
