I just wanted to shed some light on something...If all you Stang Enthusiasts would be so kind as to help

Which is louder and a more muscley sound...The MAC axlebacks or the Borla Stinger axle back?

Any insight to this would be greatly appreciated, thanks

They're both really deep, but I believe the stingers are the deepness champions...

Lots of Drone Though!

I have the Borla Stingers and they sound awesome! There is a lot of drone with them at around 2000 rpm though (automatic transmission). They definitely turn heads!

Borla all the way.

I've got the FRPP M-5230-5GT which is actually the stinger. It is REALLY deep and screams in the high RPM's. Not raspy at all just quality loudness all through the power band. Best sounding muffler of em all.

You get some drone at about 60 mph. Can't remember the rpm but at 55 and 63 mph its not there. Not that bad though, not like the old mac's or flowmasters.

Drone sounds like your eardrums are going to burst due to the frequency at which the mufflers resonate. Some love it, some hate it!

I think I'm gonna try an off-road X-pipe and see what they sound like. I can get the Pypes x-pipe for $130. For everyone interested in the Magna Flow Axle Back system.... They are not much louder than stock.... A bit of a diffrent sound, but not that much diffrent than stock.... but the rolled tips are the S**T!!!

Have you tried an X-pipe to eliminate some of that drone at 2k?

According to Borla, only the Borla Stingers carry Borla's warranty. The FRPP Stingers do not have the Borla warranty. According to Steeda, their axle-backs are NOT the same as the Borlas but DO carry a lifetime warranty.

i hear the flowmasters sound pretty good on these stangs, nice deep tone. Esp if you put on an off-road H w/ flows i hear its nuts.

im stock exhaust for now but i want to swap the mufflers soon
