BOSS 302 VIN ?

Does anybody know if there is a way to tell if a 69 mustang is a boss from the VIN? I know the missing sidescoops and physical stuff, is there a way to be sure from the VIN? My son-in-law thinks he may have a lead on one, gonna go look at it next week. Just like a way to be sure.

the first five digits of the vin will always be 9F02G for the '69 and 0F02G for '70 from dearborn, and 0T02G for a '70 from metuchen (thats why boss 302's are sometimes referred to as 'g' codes). the rest of the numbers are the serial number, which you should find in part on the fender apron, usually under the fender rail, and also stamped on the back of the block, for a numbers matching boss.
