I just can't understand the logic of removing it...Maybe as apart of engine bay clean up? He did remove the sensor and all, and in the firewall some holes that housed something are now unoccupied. He should of considered going with a bigger radiator before removing the reservoir.

To aluminum reservoir or to factory reservoir?

I would say factory for a few reasons.

1. it uses the stock mounting points and bolts
2. You can retain the factory low coolant sensor
3. Ford engineers designed it for that application
4. You can get them cheap and it works

well, i'll add back the stock reservoir, like 40 dollars new (nearest junkyard is an hour away and new is cleaner), and i'll change the cap and thermostat to a 180 still.

I'm sure this'll fix it. If it doesn't then there's plenty to still do as far as the cooling system goes.

Last question and then I'll be set, would a 2.3L fan shroud hook up to mine?
Salvage yard (literally 3 minutes away) only has 2.3s.
