I know about the rain all too well. I went to a show saturday and it rained every 20 min. You get the car dried off and opened back up and here it comes again. This went on for 5 hrs. Then we stood in the rain while they handed out awards. I'm listening to them go through the different classes when here comes 87-93 and nothing. I was like wtf i didn't even place in the top 3? So i started walking to get out of the rain as they announce the other classes when i was called for best of show then best engine and then best interior. A nice end to a crappy day. But talk about nasty looks when you walking back to your car with 3 awards and some people got squat.

Boy do I know the feeling - I did that too once, but it was going TO an NMRA show at Maple Grove. All I had for cleaning supplies was what was in my detailing box I bring to shows, i.e. nothing to actually give it a full wash. We arrived early and couldn't check into the hotel for a bit so I just parked in front and cleaned it right there

PS - yes I won my class overall

Yeah well once my wife sprayed the car directly with the HOSE!! took me twenty two minutes just to dry it, never mind attempting to explain to the car (and the wife) how this occured and what we were going to do to keep it from happening again

I think I have a problem here.

It's not getting wet that's the problem, it's driving on a wet street with wet dirt and debris kicking up into the lower extremities of the car

long winters and stronger beer...result is we consume less beer due to the higher alcohol content,we inturn spend less money to purchase beer and are left with a surplus to spend on our vehicles.

Dave, it was a good show. The Brockville show is going to fun too. When I was talking to Jeff yesterday, he said he was planning on going as well.

I told Heather we are going and not to plan anything for that weekend. Hopefully the weather will hold out for us.

Now I have to go, I have to see Jeff's car in person......so if he's there I am
