well it was bound to happen...i was pushing probably somewhere in the 390ish range with my newly added powerpipe pushing 11 to 12 lbs. and i was at the track when my bottom end let go...it's a sad day bc the stang probably won't be moving for about 5-6 months...

but, it's getting fully built!!!!! MMR 900 SB, not sure what cams and heads yet but we will see

its been said here before. if you car let go a short time after you installed the blower it was on its way out anyway and the blower just sped up the process. thats sucks man sorry to hear that. only 390rwhp?

WOW that sucks Amazing how it lets go @ just 390RWHP and my GT held up to 550RWHP and ALOT of abuse. I went WOT quite often...had quite a few track passes on it as well.

What plugs were you running? What was your A/F? Who tuned it?

LOL yep my GT did that at the track! (- the melted plug part). Blew the TB pipe off and teh car ran like CRAP. It took ALOT of gas just to keep it running. I thought she was gone...but then we seen the TB pipe had came off. PHEW!!!!!!!!!

I know how your feeling right now..... VERY good! LOL

That happened to me before, it was at night, I was about 1/4 mile from home. I didn't see the coupler had came off. Had some cops escort me back home. The plugs were toast after that. RICH as hell

thought i blew mine up on the 150 shot one time. ran it one night it was perfectly fine next day i leave for school. the car was runnning fine then the last 30mile stretch of road was traffic and when it opened up i laid into the gas about half throttle and it started bucking real bad in all gears and it was actually due to bad gas cause when i got to school i filled it up and ran some seafoam in the tank and it cleared right up and havent seen it since.

but it scared me pretty good because i knew i ran the 150 shot the night before i was like ahhhhhhhh crap i must have jacked something up lol but she is still running strong 12 bottles later lol

Yep happened to me too, except for I spun a bearing at the same time! I lived with the tapping sound for a couple of months and then tore it down for a forged bottom end. Best thing that could have ever happened because now I have a way better engine, heads, cams, and more boost. If you can't pull out your wallet and smile when things break, you probably shouldn't be racing is how I look at it.
