Bottoms out...

I just installed my lowering springs recently and once in a while i can feel it bottom out in the rear if i hit a decent sized bump in the road. Do i need to get a new "bump stop" thingy for the rear? Not sure about the proper name

PS Any way to find out what kind of springs i have? I bought them used and the guy didnt know what kind they were.They were light blue in colour and came with red coloured air bags for rear. They dropped the car about 1.5 inch all around.

You may need a shorter pinnion snubber. It's a good possibility that that might be your problem.
I know there not H&R springs if there light blue.

Where would i get a shorter pinion snubber, any way to modify it and make it shorter?

My BBK springs are Baby Blue but also have BBK painted on them in white

It's bolted to the floorpan above the pinion.

Are you saying that they didn't? They should have, as they have thier own internal bumpstop. I'm not positive about this, but if I remember correctly I didn't use the pinion snubber and I've been running my Bils for about two years, never once has my suspension bottomed itself out- what spring rates are you using?

I read the instructions pretty well and you are correct it does say that the Bilsteins have their own internal bumpstops. But It still bottoms out in the front when I go over speed bumps, it doesnt do it in the rear where the pinon snubber is. Do you think my Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates have something to do with my bottoming out? As far as my spring rate I'm using H&R Sports (Specific to the Vert)

Thanks ALMOST STOCK, I kinda had a idea that was where it went after installing my exhaust a couple of weeks ago, Just wasnt sure.

Hm... wonder if they sent you the wrong springs? Are you sure the rates you have is the rate they said you need? Are they marked? Are you sure it's the suspension bottoming out and not the car bottoming out? No, the C/C's wouldn't have anything to do with it, they'd have to be so far out of proper alignment that you'd know something was wrong by how bad it handled, and your tires would look like somebody was torching them. Did you buy the shock and springs together- and who from?
