It was just too nice too pass on. Traded in the 99GT convertible for it. It was a Azure Blue 03 automatic with the IUP and 10,000 miles. Bone stock from what I can tell.

Now I'm starting to feel buyer's remorse just a little as I'm sure I'll miss the drop top when spring comes out next year

So far the Mach doesn't feel all that much faster than my 99GT, maybe it's the auto? I really wanted the 5speed! Plus the exhaust feels way too quite. I'll probably leave it stock over the winter then figure out what mods work best with these cars.

Anyone have any good suggestions what I can do for easy bolt on's that will make this 4V DOHC feel a little quicker? Or change my user name

Nice! Azure blue ... There's another azure blue Mach 1 over near where I live, just off Evergreen. Beatiful color.

Dave,

Congrats on your new purchase recently also!!! I'll have to get over to Starbuck's in Beaverton to check it out soon.

I was going back and forth trying to decide on a Mach1 or 03 Cobra, but in the end the price worked out better for me on the Mach1. Plus I got 3.9% for 60 months, so that was cool! Considering my credit record since my divorce a few years ago, I wasn't complaining at all!! Man, these new seats in the Mach are so much better than the crappy GT ones, plus looking out at the shaker hood rumble when you step on it is awesome...

The only thing I'm kind of ticked off about is the insurance now. I called my agent at Allstate and he's telling me I will pay $200 more each 6 months for the Mach versus the 99GT vert Maybe that "R" in the VIN and the DOHC makes some difference I mean geez....I'm 43 with perfect driving record for 10 straight years, plus it's a coupe versus a vert, I would think it would near the same rate? Oh well, I guess I'm in for it now. No turning back.

Wow, you got that at a great rate!

Sweet car dude. Personally I would have held out for a 5spd Mach, but those are somewhat hard to find lately.

If I wasn't so deep into my current GT, I'd gladly step up to a Mach (although a Cobra would be the ultimate) without any remorse.

Thanks Ed! I'm still not in your league with that supercharged beast under the hood, but I'm slowly moving up the Ford food chain a little at a time I guess.

I'll make it up to Starbucks this weekend. Is is Friday or Saturday? I heard Cory is in LA at some Saleen event or something so I didn't see any threads on it yet...

BTW----Landmark Ford had a new Saleen Cobra in the showroom to drool over? Only like $53K!!!! Chump change, right?

Hey. Nice choice. I wanted a blue 5-speed. All I could find was a blue auto. So, I went with the Dark Shadow Grey 5-speed and I haven't regreted it.

Congrats on your new purchase. There's lots of good info at:
www.mach1registry.com and www.mach-1.org

These cars really open up between 4-6K rpms. I'm sure you'll love it!

Thanks Paul!

I just couldn't go with a used Trans Am WS6. Too many quality problems from what I was seeing. My buddy has an 01 WS6 and he's had in the shop so many times he's lost count. I guess that scared me off
Now that the 03/04 Mach's and Cobras have come out, I've changed my thinking a little anyway. I think I was more interested in the LS1's when all Ford had to offer was the 01 cobra or bullitt.

Ed,

I'm off this Friday too. We could plan on meeting at SB after the Dairy Queen? I'm up for that while were all out anyway. I've got lots of questions I need your guys advice on about this car, so I need to show up.

What time are you planning on being at Dairy Queen?

Is that the one from Vancouver? I smoked a blue mach early this year, coming off padden onto 205south at like 6:00am... always wonder'd if it was an auto.
Perfect colour!!!!! They look sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Some gears, an exhaust and a shift kit. Then may-be a hairdryer.....
